Our methodology

How every Bunga Harbour session works

01

Understand the need

The assistant identifies what the visitor has brought and what they are hoping to accomplish before any reading begins.

02

Read and explain

Documents are read together. Key terms, dates, and required actions are identified and explained in plain language at the visitor's pace.

03

Produce a written output

A checklist, timeline or step summary is produced and handed to the visitor before they leave — a record of what was covered and what to do next.

04

Confirm understanding

Before the session closes, the assistant checks that the visitor can state the next step in their own words. The session does not end until this is clear.

This structure applies to all three services, adapted to fit the nature of each engagement.

Service 01

90-minute session · RM 495

Family Enrolment Assistance

A focused 90-minute session for parents and guardians who want help understanding the steps, timelines and typical paperwork for enrolling children in local schools, after-school programmes or community activities. The assistant works through the process with the family, preparing a simple checklist, helping organise document copies, and explaining plain-language versions of the standard forms. The session closes with a printed enrolment timeline and includes one follow-up call within 14 days. Families submit applications themselves — this service covers information and preparation only.

What is included

  • Read-through of enrolment notice or letter from the school or programme
  • Personalised enrolment checklist built with the family during the session
  • Guidance on organising document copies in submission order
  • Plain-language explanation of each standard form field
  • Printed enrolment timeline with key dates and locations
  • One follow-up call within 14 days of the session

How the session runs

1

Family arrives with existing letters and documents. Assistant reviews what is present and identifies what is still needed.

2

Enrolment notice and standard forms are read together. The assistant explains each section in plain English or Bahasa Malaysia.

3

A checklist and personalised timeline are built together. Documents are sorted into submission order.

4

Family leaves with the printed checklist and timeline. Follow-up call is scheduled before the session ends.

Plain-Language Letter Explanation Package

A four-session package for anyone who receives official or business correspondence in a language or register they find hard to follow. Each one-hour session focuses on the letters and documents the visitor brings. The assistant reads the letter alongside the visitor, explains the everyday meaning of the wording, notes any dates or required actions, and helps draft a short reply if one is needed. Available in English with Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin support. Language and structure only — no advice on rights, obligations or what decision to make.

What is included

  • Plain-language read-through of each letter brought to the session
  • Identification of all dates, deadlines and required actions mentioned
  • Assistance drafting a short reply if one is needed

2

Week 2: Priority letters read in full. Dates, actions and unclear terms noted and explained. Draft reply begun if applicable.

3

Week 3: Any new letters reviewed. Reply draft reviewed and finalised if needed. Outstanding questions from week 2 addressed.

4

Across all services

Professional standards we hold across every service

Document handling

No copies retained without written consent. Documents remain with the visitor at the end of every session.

Scope discipline

Information and preparation only. Any request that moves toward legal interpretation or financial advice is declined clearly, not stretched to accommodate.

Language accuracy

Assistants are assessed internally in each language before offering it. We do not offer a language unless we can deliver it consistently.

Punctuality

Booked sessions start on time. Walk-in visitors are given an honest wait estimate on arrival and offered the option to book ahead.

Written output always

Every session closes with a written document the visitor takes away — checklist, summary, timeline or handbook. Nothing is left to memory alone.

Price confirmed in advance

Fees are stated before a session begins. Any scope adjustment is discussed and agreed in writing before additional charges apply.
